In 2008 after reaching a dead end, I began living differently. I spent the next several years rebuilding trust, healing trauma from the past, changing my perspective on life, creating a meditation practice, learning about alternative health methods and more. I have been living in a way of following my heart and listening to my body ever since. It has led me on a grand adventure where I have learned so much! My experience has taught me so much and I am ready to help you along your journey.
What is Health Coaching?
Just as a sports coach can help an athlete develop and excel in a sport, a health and wellness coach can guide others to improve their lives by examining multiple areas of health that other approaches overlook. The coaching process is similar to conversation therapy, it involves discussing the thoughts and issues of two people, but it differs in that the person who is being coached is in the driver’s seat, with their goals as well as strategies.

Positive Psychology is the cornerstone of coaching
While traditional psychology has focused on what is “wrong” with people and needs to be “fixed”, the coaching philosophy focuses on what you can do, and better for you. This means that instead of being around for problems, a coach will work with you to harness your strengths, so that you can improve the health behaviors to help you achieve your goals.
